S\u00f6nmez, who completed his Ph.D. in International Relations at Galatasaray University in July 2025, earned his bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degrees from Marmara University. Currently serving as a researcher at Global Academy, S\u00f6nmez also serves as the publication coordinator for the Panorama Global platform. His academic areas of expertise include Comparative Foreign Policy Analysis, Theories of International Relations, Russian Foreign Policy, and Turkey-Russia-Iran relations.
