He previously served as Directing Staff at the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air War College Institute, Karachi, and as faculty at COMSATS and NUST University, Islamabad. He was a SUSI fellow at Bard College, New York, and a Postdoctoral visiting scholar at the South Asia Centre, London School of Economics (LSE), UK.
