Doğuş Sönmez

Dr. Doğuş Sönmez has been working as a research assistant in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Kadir Has University since 2022. Sönmez, who completed his Ph.D. in International Relations at Galatasaray University in July 2025, earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Marmara University. Currently serving as a researcher at Global Academy, Sönmez also serves as the publication coordinator for the Panorama Global platform. His academic areas of expertise include Comparative Foreign Policy Analysis, Theories of International Relations, Russian Foreign Policy, and Turkey-Russia-Iran relations. In his latest research, he examined how the Russia-Ukraine War has affected the environment and whether the Russian Federation’s environmental policies are inconsistent with these impacts.
