Sezen Kaya Sönmez

Sezen Kaya-Sönmez acts as the Executive Manager in Global Academy. Kaya-Sönmez holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Çukurova University and a master’s degree in International Relations from the same university. She is currently pursuing her doctorate at Kadir Has University in the International Relations (English) Program. Currently, as a doctoral candidate at Kadir Has University, she continues her research on the relationship between energy security and climate security in the European Union. She worked as a visiting doctoral student at the Centre Marc Bloch Research Center in Berlin, Germany, for three months with a TÜBİTAK Overseas Doctoral Research Fellowship. Her academic interests include securitization, environmental security, climate security, and the EU. Additionally, she hosts a series titled “Green Talks: The Voice of Environment and Ecology” on the Paradigma Podcast Channel in collaboration with the Panorama Global web portal.
